Jazz Concert Animation
The George Fox University Jazz Band wanted to play jazz-themed animations on screen during their Spring Concert in 2018. I looked at caricatures by Al Hirschfeld for inspiration, focusing on his organic line quality to develop a style that fit well with the music. I modeled each character off of the college’s Bruin mascot and hand drew each frame to give them a dynamic bounce when they moved.
