Rotary Mural 1
Each year, the Newberg Noon Rotary Club hires a group of Art & Design students from George Fox University to paint a mural. This mural's theme was "The Art of Newberg," and showcased music, dance, painting, literature, and family as forms of art within the community. The bright colors and geometric shapes were chosen to reflect the playful nature of the arts. It was painted across the street from the library and cultural center to encourage families to take part in community events held there.
I worked with a team of 4 other students to paint the mural over the course of a week. We only had access to scaffolding for the first five days, so we focused on painting hard-to-reach areas first.
